Prime Minister Mark Carney is facing increasing opposition from the usual suspects who want us to continue cutting our own economic throats by not developing our vast natural resources, including oil and natural gas.

His decisions to reduce former prime minister Justin Trudeau’s wildly unpopular consumer carbon tax to net zero, postpone his unrealistic electric vehicle mandates and refuse to commit to his unobtainable 2030 industrial greenhouse gas emission targets have green ideologues worried.

Ditto his recent suggestion that he might scrap Trudeau’s emissions cap on the oil and gas sector if other efforts to bring down emissions succeed.
