**Title: Two Arrested After Drone Drop Attempt at Bath Prison**

Authorities arrested two individuals from Quebec after they attempted to deliver contraband to Millhaven Institution in Bath on Thursday night. The operation involved a collaboration between Correctional Services of Canada and various Ontario Provincial Police detachments, responding to reports of a possible drone delivery at the facility.

Officers located a suspect vehicle near the prison and conducted a brief investigation that led to the arrests. The police seized a significant amount of contraband, including approximately 120 grams of suspected ecstasy, nearly 150 grams of cannabis, 40 grams of “shatter,” 270 grams of hashish, and 100 grams of tobacco. In addition to the drugs, authorities recovered the drone, cellphones, and other delivery materials.

The total estimated value of the seized items is over $300,000. The two suspects, identified as Taha Oulidi, 18, from Terrebonne, and Liyess Rakibe, 19, from Repentigny, now face multiple charges related to drug possession and weapons offenses. Following a bail hearing in Napanee on October 10, both individuals were remanded into custody.

This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding the use of drones to smuggle contraband into correctional facilities. Authorities continue to monitor and respond to such threats to maintain security within the prison system.
