ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. —

Multiple 911 dispatchers who were leaving their shifts for the day saved the lives of two people after pulling them from their burning vehicles following a crash in Robinson Township.

In a Facebook post from the Moon Run Volunteer Fire Company on Saturday, officials were alerted to a crash with a reported entrapment and fire. Advertisement

Our news partners at the Trib said the crash occurred on the eastbound I-376 between the Summit Park Drive bridge and the interchange for Routes 22/30 and 60, Exit 60, just after 6 a.m.

As fire officials were arriving at the scene, the post said multiple 911 dispatchers and a tow operator who were leaving their shifts saw the fire and rushed into action. They "successfully removed the drivers from the burning vehicles."
