LECANTO, Fla. (WFLA) — A two-story home caught fire in Citrus County on Friday, sustaining about $268,000 in damage, according to Citrus County Fire Rescue.

At 9:56 a.m., CCFR was dispatched to a structure fire on S. Bauer Road in Lecanto.

Crews immediately began working to subdue the flames while conducting a primary search of the first floor, reporting that they were initially unable to access the residence due to a low-hanging utility line along the driveway.

According to CCFR, about 60% of the structure was engulfed by flames.
