The Detroit Tigers radio host Dan Dickerson has apologized for a profanity-laced “hot mic” moment lamenting the Tigers’ season-ending loss early Saturday morning, but some on social media rallied in support of the host, commiserating that he simply said out loud the sentiment fans felt after the tense 15-inning marathon game.

A user on X posted the recording around 2 a.m. Saturday, right after Game 5 of the American League Division Series against the Seattle Mariners on Friday night, which ended the Tigers’ season with a 3-2 loss.

“I don’t have to do a game … ah f—,” said Dickerson over an ad playing for Corewell Health. “F— this game recap. Oh, I’m sorry, was that out loud?”
