Ian Watkins had previously predicted he would be attacked in prison and that grim foresight became reality on Saturday when he was fatally stabbed while serving a 35-year sentence for horrific sexual offences. ‌

Two men aged 25 and 43 have been arrested on suspicion of murdering the the former Lostprophets frontman. ‌

This was not Watkins' first violent encounter behind bars, having survived a stabbing in August 2023, reports the Mirror. ‌

In 2019, Watkins faced trial for secretly possessing a mobile phone in prison , an offence that led to an additional sentence when he was found guilty.
