WESTLAKE, Oh.- Dr. Scott Goggin, Superintendent of Westlake City School District , has been recognized as a leader among Ohio’s educational administrators, receiving the 2025 Exemplary Leadership Award from the Buckeye Association of School Administrators (BASA) .

In accepting the award, Dr. Goggin was characteristically humble, redirecting credit to the entire Westlake community.

“I am honored to receive this recognition, but it truly belongs to the entire Westlake community,” Dr. Goggin said.

Dr. Goggin received this honor during the BASA Awards Luncheon on October 8, 2025 , held at the organization’s annual Fall Conference at the Hilton Polaris in Columbus.
