LINCOLN, Neb. —

Texas Tech faced a homecoming crowd of more than 75,000 in Lincoln in 1997.

Both offenses were seeing red early on in the game as the defenses dominated.

Tech had the first scoring opportunity, but kicker Jaret Greaser broke his leg on the 52-yard attempt.

The game remained scoreless until Nebraska's Chris Brown kicked a field goal to make it 3-0 at the end of the first quarter.

The Husker defense managed to get the much sought after shutout. Nebraska defeated Texas Tech in 1997 29-0.
