None of UCLA’s previous opponents had produced fewer than 17 points or 300 yards of total offense — and if you subtract Northwestern, which beat the Bruins 17-14 — none of UCLA’s previous opponents had fewer than 30 points or 350 yards. MSU mustered 13 points and 253 yards of total offense, including just 96 yards in the first half as the Spartans ’ lost control of the game.
