It's the worst news for Penn State and its QB: Drew Allar was seen limping during the Nittany Lions' eventual loss to Northwestern before he was carted to the locker room... and now he's out for the rest of the season.

There's no word about what exactly the injury was, but no matter. He's done for the year. So let's look to the future for a second: Despite Penn State losing three straight, there was some NFL Draft buzz (as there was last year) with him given that he's throw eight touchdowns and tossed for nearly 1,000 yards in those six contests.

So what's his draft future? Seems like there's a lot of initial speculation that he could be a possible first-rounder before this. Maybe he's now a late-round pick or undrafted free agent with potential.

We'll have to wait until next April to answer this. But it's devastating for the team he's on now and what might have been after the season.
