Director of 'The Alabama Solution' discusses ongoing crisis in state prison system

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Charlotte Kaufman, director of the new documentary "The Alabama Solution," and Beth Shelburne, co-producer on the project, joined CBS 42 News to discuss the ongoing crisis within Alabama's prison system.

The documentary, which premiered on HBO Max on October 10, utilizes video footage from inmates to reveal the brutal conditions state inmates face on a daily basis.
