STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Penn State quarterback Drew Allar’s season, and college career, may have come to a sudden end after suffering a brutal lower-body injury late in the fourth quarter against Northwestern.

The Nittany Lions were driving for the win when Allar took a hard hit while scrambling, immediately grabbing his leg before being helped off the field.

Head coach James Franklin later confirmed it’s a season-ending injury for the senior signal-caller. Sophomore Ethan Grunkemeyer came in for the final series, but the Lions fell short, 22–21, in a stunning setback.

The loss to Northwestern is the Nittany Lions' third straight this season.
