A man is dead after being shot in the Leonidas neighborhood near Hollygrove, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

NOPD officers responded to a shooting call around 6 p.m. and found the man at near Cambronne and Apple streets.

Police said the man died by 6:55 p.m., and they then classified the crime as a homicide.
