At least three separate shootings across Mississippi, all apparently connected to high school football games, left several people injured and dead, including an expectant mother.

Two of the shootings happened in the Delta in the towns of Leland and Rolling Fork, while another occurred in Heidelberg. Leland and Heidelberg are only 39 miles from each other.

At least two of the games were homecoming celebrations.
