During his weekly Monday news conference advancing this weekend’s Indiana football game at Oregon, Curt Cignetti talked about size.

“We’re not as big as Oregon,” he said. “They can roll four inside guys at d-tackle that are 330-plus (pounds). They’ve got big people in there.”

By midweek, reporters had taken note and done the math and, pointed out that indeed, the Hoosiers were on average outweighed at the line of scrimmage. Multiple IU defensive assistants, including coordinator Bryant Haines , took exception.
