A first-half natural hat trick from Thalia Sosa was all the offense third-seeded Harrison needed to get by sixth-seeded Secaucus by a score of 3-0 in the quarterfinal round of the Hudson County Tournament in Harrison.
Harrison’s win advances it to the semifinal round where it will visit second-seeded Hoboken, which knocked off seventh-seeded Union City with a 7-1 win.
Romina Sosa, Genesis Vallejo and Danna Gomez each tallied an assist. Julia Martins made three saves to record the shutout for Harrison (13-1).
Julia Pozo and Ava Krajewski split goalkeeping duties and combined to turn aside 11 Harrison shots for Secaucus (5-7).
