SAN ANTONIO — A suspect has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting that left a man dead and a car riddled with bullets outside west-side gas station

The fatal shooting happened just before 3 a.m. at the Chevron on Historic Old Highway 90 and South Acme Road.

An arrest affidavit identifies the suspect as 40-year-old Richardo Michael Haymon.

According to SAPD, the 36-year-old victim, identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner as Ricardo Contreras, tried running from a car toward the front door of the store when he was shot.

When officers arrived, they found him shot once in the head and pronounced Contreras dead at the scene.
