FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A teen is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle while riding an e-bike in Northeast Fresno.

Officers were called to a crash on Friant Road and Audubon Drive at 3:00 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, they found a 15-year-old male lying in the road.

The teen was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.

According to officers, the teen was with friends traveling west on Audubon Drive, heading toward Friant Road.

He started swerving and attempted to cross traffic when he went in front of a vehicle and was hit.

The crash is under investigation.
