James Madison improved to 5-1 on the season with a strong second-half performance, defeating Louisiana 24-14 on Saturday afternoon at Bridgeforth Stadium. Behind a career-best outing from Landon Ellis and a dominant defensive showing after halftime, the Dukes remained unbeaten in Sun Belt Conference play at 3-0.

Trailing 14-7 at the break, JMU responded with 17 unanswered points in the second half, outgaining the Ragin' Cajuns 227-59 across the final two quarters. A quick scoring drive early in the fourth quarter—set up by a short field—gave the Dukes their first lead of the game. They added a late field goal to make it a two-score advantage, and a tipped-pass interception by Jacob Thomas in the final two minutes secured the win.
