GREENSBORO, N.C. — One man was injured in an aggravated assault late Saturday night in downtown Greensboro, police said.

He was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Originally, police reported that an unknown number were injured, but after further investigation, it was determined that only one person was hurt.

Officers responded around 10:28 p.m. to the 500 block of South Elm Street.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident, including what led to the assault and any possible suspect information. Once an update is available, the department will share those details.
