Brynn Reines led the University of Northern Colorado volleyball attack for the second time in two matches Saturday, helping the Bears to a 3-1 win over Portland State at Bank of Colorado Arena.

Reines had 14 kills, Alayna Tessena added 13 and Zoe Gibbs recorded 12 as UNC won 25-18, 25-21, 20-25, 25-14.

The Bears improved to 7-11 overall and 4-2 in the Big Sky Conference with their fourth win in their last five matches and fifth victory in six home matches this season.

Reines added six digs to help the Bears defense against the Vikings (6-10, 2-3). An outside hitter from Minnesota, Reines had a season-high 18 kills with eight digs in a four-set home win Thursday over Sacramento State.

Nerea Alvarez Jorge took charge of the UNC offense again Saturday with 42 assists. She also had 13 digs
