For a second straight year, Michigan’s football team stumbled on its West Coast trip.
The 15th-ranked Wolverines were trounced by USC 31-13 on Saturday while getting outgained 489 yards to 316. The Trojans’ 224 rushing yards are the most Michigan has allowed since 2020, and they didn’t have their top two running backs for most of the game.
Meanwhile, Michigan’s offense couldn’t keep pace with USC’s and was without standout running back Justice Haynes for the second half.
The Wolverines’ playoff hopes took a severe hit with Saturday’s loss, falling to 4-2. Here’s what’s being said nationally about the game.
