OLD TOWN, Fla. (WCJB) - A deputy was taken to the hospital after a shootout at a Dixie County bar.

Sheriff’s officials say they were called to Old Town Tavern Saturday night after a man shot at the building.

The shooter was still there when deputies arrived, and officials said he started shooting at them and hit one deputy.

Sheriff’s officials shot the man.

Law enforcement said the deputy is in the hospital now, but hasn’t revealed the condition of the shooter.
