The National Medical Commission (NMC) has revised the NEET UG seat matrix for the 2025–26 academic session. As of October 10, India has a total of 1,26,600 MBBS seats available, which includes both the renewal of existing MBBS seats and the inclusion of newly approved ones.

In the academic year 2025–26, a total of 9,075 new MBBS seats were approved across India, excluding those under AIIMS and JIPMER, by the NMC. The NEET UG 2025 seat matrix underwent several revisions throughout the year due to fluctuations in the approval status of seats in various medical colleges.

Candidates should carefully review the updated seat matrix and follow the revised schedule issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
