Yards, let alone points, were hard to come by on Saturday afternoon at Manasquan’s Vic Kubu Warrior Field. So when Red Bank finally found the end zone with five minutes left to cut its deficit to one point, it wasn’t a shock that the Bucs decided to go for a 2-point conversion and the lead.
Red Bank came out in a Wildcat formation with wide receiver Ari Fraser taking the snap. He scrambled to his left and flipped a jump ball to the back of the end zone where 6-foot-6 wideout Jah’Mir Lane-Bailey was poised to snatch it and give the Bucs the lead. Instead, Manasquan defensive back Justice Morgan leapt back toward Lane-Bailey and knocked the ball loose with his right hand.
