TOWN OF DANE (WKOW) — One person is dead after a tragic head-on crash occurred in the Township of Dane, according to Dane County Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened at around 6:35 p.m. Saturday on STH 113 at Lee Road.

A vehicle traveling southbound crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a northbound vehicle. The 69-year-old driver of the northbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 67-year-old passenger was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.

STH 113 is currently closed between Reppen Road and Viaduct Road as investigators work to reconstruct the crash.

The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office will release the deceased's identity after notifying the family.

The crash is under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff's Office.
