RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Emergency crews are at the scene of a tree that fell in a Raleigh neighborhood early Sunday morning on Wade Avenue.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, crews reported to the scene around 5:30 a.m. near the intersection of Wade Avenue and Dogwood Lane, just off of I-440.
A spokesperson with the police said the tree fell because of the weather, as rain poured on the city throughout Saturday night and continuously on Sunday morning.
