DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings have trailed by two goals in the first period in each of their first two games.

But after folding in Game 1 and getting embarrassed by Montreal, they showed mental toughness and resilience in Game 2, a 6-3 victory Saturday over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
