CHARLOTTE, N.C. — William Bordsen, the suspect in a July homicide in east Charlotte, has had his bond revoked, court records show.
The victim, 65-year-old Robert "Bob" Murphy, was found dead in his east Charlotte apartment after what police describe as a brutal beating around 4 a.m. on July 28 following a fight over cigarettes.
His roommate, 40-year-old Bordsen, faces first-degree murder charges in connection with Murphy's death.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said Bordsen called 911 on the day of the homicide, telling dispatchers he had "kicked his roommate's a-- pretty good" during a fight. When officers arrived at the Coronado Drive residence, they found Murphy's body with severe facial swelling, multiple lacerations and bruises covering his body.
