The Utah Jazz had a busy offseason this summer. With so many roster shake-ups, the team is still rebuilding. However, their reliable forward Lauri Markkanen looms with uncertainty with his position in the depth, as the Jazz are reportedly very open to trading him.

Last season, he played just 47 games and averaged 19 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 42% from the field and 34% from three. Though the Jazz gave him a four-year, $195 million extension last year, his future with the team remains in the blur. Markkanen had a strong EuroBasket journey this year, which could raise his trade value for the upcoming season.

However, NBA expert Zach Lowe doesn’t want Markkanen out of the Jazz’s rotation. “I can’t imagine a scenario where Lauri Markkanen is on the Jazz in a year,”
