Giants' new manager target has a 101-win season and Manager of the Year award

The San Francisco Giants have had a ton of names thrown out as potential managerial targets.

In replacing Bob Melvin, the Giants appear to be leaving no stone unturned.

The newest name to surface is an intriguing one: Brandon Hyde.

John Shea of the San Francisco Standard reported that Giants president of baseball operations Buster Posey has spoken to Hyde.

Hyde managed the Marlins for a single game in 2011. From 2019 through this past May, he was manager of the Baltimore Orioles .

In 2023, Hyde led the Orioles to a 101-win season and was named AL Manager of the Year.
