Nongpoh, October 12: The Ribhoi Police have successfully arrested Tainehskhem Kharsati, a 22-year-old accused of sexually assaulting and murdering a 13-year-old girl.

Under the leadership of Superintendent of Police V.S. Rathore, the Ribhoi Police on Sunday escorted the accused back to the crime scene for investigation and reconstruction of events. SP Rathore was accompanied by Additional SP O. Masar, officers from the Umiam Police Station, and experts from the Forensic Crime Scene Unit.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on October 9, when the accused allegedly raped and brutally killed the minor in a village under Ribhoi District. The victim's body was later discovered by family members and villagers in a nearby forest.
