INDIANAPOLIS – Anthony Richardson Sr. is inactive for Sunday’s game with the Arizona Cardinals after suffering an injury during pre-game warm-ups.
The Indianapolis Colts’ backup quarterback sustained an eye injury while doing his pre-game “band work,’’ according to a team source.
Rookie Riley Leonard will serve as Daniel Jones’ backup.
Richardson, who lost his starting job to Jones during training camp, has appeared in only two games – both in mop-up time – while Jones has directed the Colts to a 4-1 start.
Also inactive against the Cardinals is wideout Adonai Mitchell.
For Arizona, quarterback Kyler Murray is inactive with a foot injury. Former Colt Jacoby Brissett will start.
