BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Happy Sunday!

It’s been a chilly start to the day with temperatures in the mid to upper 40s in several locations. Dry air is allowing our temperatures to quickly warm into the low to mid 70s shortly before noon.

We had a few clouds this morning in east Alabama and Georgia due to a developing low off the South Carolina coastline. The area of low pressure is producing heavy rainfall across South Carolina and into the Mid-Atlantic.

This storm will create rough surf, coastal flooding and gusty winds all across the East Coast today and tomorrow. This storm will not impact our weather, and we will remain sunny with afternoon temperatures climbing into the lower 80s. Winds are forecast to come from the north today at 5 to 10 mph.
