Professional golf legend Phil Mickelson on Saturday commented on President Donald Trump’s plan to honor Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk posthumously.
Mickelson shared a post that highlighted the fact the president is going to award the conservative activist, who was violently assassinated in September, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
“His presence and message will live forever but I still wish he was here. This award is well deserved,” the golf legend wrote:
Social media users were quick to reply to his post, one person writing , “Thank you. This is an important message.”
“Nobody more deserving. The ultimate American,” another user said .
Kirk was fatally shot during a speaking event on September 10 at Utah Valley University. His murder shocked the world and millions o
