The Trent Bray era at Oregon State is over.
Amid an 0-7 start, OSU’s second-year head coach was fired Sunday morning .
The interim head coach for the Beavers for the remainder of the season is Robb Akey, who previously served as special assistant to Bray and later interim special teams coordinator following Jamie Christian’s firing .
Akey is a coaching veteran, having spent nearly four decades in the sport primarily at the collegiate level but with stops in the NFL as well. He was the defensive coordinator at Central Michigan from 2019-24, and served as head coach at Idaho from 2007-12.
Couldn’t fit the whole quote in the story, but here’s Robb Akey with some catharsis on Oregon State’s season. #GoBeavs https://t.co/qMvVv7N1ZC pic.twitter.com/WvhV2pHKN1 — Ryan Clarke (@Ryan
