A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 5:20 p.m. for gusty showers until 5:45 p.m. for Tualatin Valley, Inner Portland Metro, Outer Southeast Portland Metro, East Central Willamette Valley and Clackamas County Cascade Foothills.
Residents may experience wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
"At 5:20 p.m., Doppler radar tracked gusty showers capable of producing a landspout along a line extending from near Boring to Tigard. Movement was southeast at 15 mph," adds the weather service. "Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects."
