BAYONNE, New Jersey (WABC) -- Fire marshals in New Jersey are trying to determine what started a fire at a scrapyard in Hudson County over the weekend.

The fire broke out around 6:20 p.m. on Saturday at the EMR Recycling facility on East 2nd Street in Bayonne.

According to Bayonne Fire Chief Keith Weaver, arriving companies found heavy fire in a scrap metal pile. Firefighters quickly arrived on scene and used multiple ladder pipes and fire boats to battle the flames.

The fire was put under control around 11:40 p.m., and no injuries were reported.

"I want to thank all our firefighters and mutual aid partners for assisting us as we battled this stubborn fire," Chief Weaver said.
