MISSOULA — Another week, another comeback victory for the Montana football team.
Michael Wortham hauled in a 24-yard touchdown pass from Keali'i Ah Yat as the Griz took their first lead of the game in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter. The Grizzlies never surrendered that advantage as they tallied a 28-9 win over Cal Poly on Saturday afternoon at Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
Fourth-ranked Montana outscored the Mustangs 28-0 after halftime and 21-0 in the fourth quarter to improve its record to 6-0 overall for the first time since 2009 and move to 3-0 in the Big Sky Conference. Unranked Cal Poly dropped to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in league play.
Ah Yat finished 27-of-41 passing for 257 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Wortham caught 10 passes for 84 yards and one score. Eli
