VERONA, Wis. (WKOW) — The Verona Police Department hosted a community seminar on Sunday to educate children about local public service and trade professions.

The event featured demonstrations from various vehicles, including fire trucks and tow trucks.

Roger Disch, owner of Dish Auto Towing and Recovery and Repair, participated to offer children hands-on exposure to different careers.

“The police department is putting on a seminar to show the kids what this stuff is all about, like the fire trucks and tow trucks, heavy equipment, dump trucks, plow trucks and etc.,” Disch said. “It’s something for the kids to see, you know, give them a little education on what could happen down the road.” The event was initiated by the Verona Police Department, which invited local companies to participat
