A Fayetteville tattoo shop, one of the oldest in the city, is closing its doors three years after the death of its legendary founder, Bill Claydon.

The Yadkin Road shop announced on Facebook Sept. 27 that the last day in operation for Bill Claydon's Tattoo World will be Oct. 31.

"This decision wasn’t made lightly but as we prepare to write the final chapter of this incredible story, we do so with full hearts, endless gratitude, and deep appreciation for the journey we’ve taken together," the post states.
