HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Investigators have confirmed that two suspects who led police on a chase in east Harris County on Friday evening were wanted in the murder of a 62-year-old Lyft driver out of Louisiana.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office in Louisiana said that they received a call about a woman in a ditch on Friday. Once deputies arrived, the victim had been found with a gunshot wound to the head. Officials identified the woman as Lawanna J. Lewis from Lake Charles.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
