Oscar-winning actor Diane Keaton's health deteriorated rapidly before her death at the age of 79, it has ben reported.
It was announced on Saturday that she had passed away in California, with reports since emerging on the state of her health, but that her death was "unexpected", according to a friend.
She was best known for appearing in films including The Godfather, Annie Hall, The First Wives Club, and Something's Got To Give. She worked with director Nancy Meyers several times on projects such as the Book Club film series.
Her accolades during her glittering career included an Oscar, a BAFTA, Golden Globe Awards and nominations for two Emmy Awards and a Tony Award, the Mirror reports .
