If Sarnia opts to subsidize a bus route connecting the city to London, it’ll do so without Plympton-Wyoming’s help.

Town council Oct. 8 turned down a Middlesex County Connect proposal, asking for contributions for an inter-community bus service with a stop in Camlachie .

The proposal would continue an existing route linking London, Strathroy and Sarnia that’s losing provincial funding in 2026 , and add the Plympton-Wyoming stop.

With a separate bus service via Huron Shores Area Transit already in place, council instead wants to try to improve that route – already connecting Sarnia, Wyoming, Forest, and Grand Bend – instead of adding a separate route for $44,000 over five years, said Plympton-Wyoming chief administrator Adam Sobanski.
