SEA BRIGHT, N.J. (PIX11) — Winds gusting, waves crashing, and flooding are hitting several coastal towns as a powerful nor’easter pounds the Jersey Shore.

Mother Nature’s wind-swept fury has brought beach erosion, high waves, and dangerous gusts to communities along the coast.

In Sea Bright, spectators gathered to watch towering waves, while nearby video shows bay water spilling over onto streets. Cars drove through deep puddles as road flood caution signs lined neighborhoods.

Emergency crews have been on alert since early Sunday morning.

Brian Boms with the Atlantic Highlands First Aid Squad said, “We fueled all our rigs up, we’ve made sure we had staff on hand to answer any EMS calls. We’re in constant contact with OEM.”
