It might have taken 15 innings, but the Seattle Mariners have reached the ALCS for the first time since 2001. Their opponents? The Toronto Blue Jays. That means it's the Pacific Northwest facing off against the only MLB team north of the border.

The Blue Jays entered the postseason with the best record in the American League, while the Mariners held the AL's second seed. The entire season has led to this moment, the two best AL teams going head-to-head for a chance to represent their league in the World Series.
