IDAHO, USA — Two Idaho ski resorts received their first snowfall of the season on Sunday, signaling the approach of winter and the countdown to opening day.

Bogus Basin reported 1 inch of snow falling overnight into morning, while Brundage Mountain in McCall woke up to 2 inches blanketing slopes from summit to base. Forecasts call for another 1 to 3 inches possible at Brundage overnight Sunday before warmer temperatures return later in the week.

With snow on the ground and winter weather in the forecast, Bogus Basin could open limited terrain as early as Nov. 8, weather permitting.
