BOLTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Bolton Valley Resort closed its chairlift foliage rides and mountain biking season Sunday, capping what officials called their most successful summer season yet.

Perfect weather and remaining pops of fall foliage provided an ideal backdrop for the final day of chairlift and bike rides at the Vermont resort.

“No notes for this summer at Bolton Valley — it’s been the best ever,” said Molly Coneybeer, Bolton Valley’s director of sales and marketing.

The resort has only offered mountain biking for a few years, making this season’s success particularly noteworthy. Coneybeer said the season focused on attracting beginner riders to the sport.
