U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced that the U.S. will allow Qatar to build a facility at an Air Force base in Idaho — just months after Qatar gifted the Pentagon with a luxury jet that President Donald Trump plans to use for Air Force One.
Hegseth, 45, made the announcement during a meeting with his Qatari counterpart, Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, at the Pentagon in Arlington, Va., on Friday, Oct. 10.

Hegseth said that Qatari pilots will train alongside U.S. troops, and that the arrangement will be mutually beneficial to both the U.S. and Qatar.
