CORNING, NY (WENY) -- A service organization in Corning is celebrating 100 years of giving back to the community.

The Corning Lions Club began in 1925. On Saturday night, the club celebrated its 100th anniversary with a dinner banquet at Carey's Brew House, attended by club members, their families, and several local dignitaries, including Corning Mayor Bill Boland, State Senator Tom O'Mara and Assemblyman Phil Palmesano.

Members of the Corning Lions take part in local service projects in the Corning community all year long, as well as supporting global causes and worldwide humanitarian efforts.
